Bihar Police have registered a case against a social media user accused of uploading multiple AI-generated videos involving a minor girl from Jamui and her male friend. Police have described the videos as misleading and fake and said their circulation allegedly contributed to the disclosure of the girl’s identity.
The case has been registered at the Cyber Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Juvenile Justice Act and the Information Technology Act. According to Jamui Police, the social media account identified as belonging to Kishori Kumar Yadav was allegedly used to upload several AI-generated videos connected with the girl and her male friend.
