IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur have jointly launched India’s first practice-oriented four-year Bachelor of Cybersecurity programme.
The new undergraduate degree is aimed at preparing students for careers in cyber defence, digital forensics, ethical hacking, cloud security and critical infrastructure protection.
Admissions for the first batch will be conducted jointly by both IITs, with the programme scheduled to begin in the July 2026 academic session.
