The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has unveiled a series of new artificial intelligence projects aimed at enhancing judicial procedures and improving the delivery of public services across the emirate.
The initiative forms part of Abu Dhabi's broader vision to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen smart government capabilities through advanced technologies.
AI Projects To Improve Judicial Efficiency
The upcoming projects were reviewed during a meeting of the Committee for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Judicial and Notary Services, chaired by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
Officials discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with the Department of Government Enablement and support government efforts to increase AI adoption across various public services.
The meeting also examined several digital initiatives designed to improve customer experience and simplify legal procedures.
Automation Already Transforming Services
According to officials, several judicial and notary services have already been automated, allowing many processes to be completed without direct human intervention.
These services include processing requests submitted to criminal courts and the Public Prosecution, issuing orders to lift travel bans, removing search notices and cancelling arrest warrants once financial obligations have been fulfilled.
Authorities have also introduced automated systems for enforcement requests, allowing restrictions on enforcement files to be removed immediately after payments are completed.
In tenancy-related matters, enforcement files can now be opened digitally, while transferred funds are sent directly to beneficiaries, helping reduce waiting times and improve operational efficiency.
Digital Vision Supports Future Development
Officials stated that the latest projects align with the UAE's ambition of building innovative and technology-driven government institutions. The committee also emphasized the importance of ensuring artificial intelligence systems operate within existing laws and regulatory frameworks.
Training programmes for judicial and administrative employees were also reviewed to prepare personnel for working alongside emerging technologies while maintaining high service standards.
As the UAE continues expanding its technology ecosystem and digital governance capabilities, the country's business-friendly environment is also attracting international entrepreneurs interested in business setup in dubai opportunities across various sectors.
Further Expansion Planned
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee approved several recommendations aimed at increasing the use of artificial intelligence throughout the judicial sector and encouraging innovation to support future development plans.
The latest initiatives reflect Abu Dhabi's commitment to building a modern judicial system that combines efficiency, technology and high-quality public services.
