Tuesday morning proved challenging for commuters across the UAE, with heavy traffic congestion reported simultaneously in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi as thousands headed toward work and school during peak hours.

In Dubai, motorists encountered slow-moving traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Al Khail Road, particularly near Business Bay and Al Safa exits. Live navigation data showed extended tailbacks around Downtown Dubai and Dubai Marina, with commuters advised to budget an additional 20 to 30 minutes for their journeys as vehicles crawled toward key commercial districts.

Sharjah-to-Dubai routes also turned deep red on traffic apps. Al Ittihad Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) saw bumper-to-bumper traffic, worsened by minor accidents near Sharjah’s Industrial Areas. Authorities encouraged drivers to rely on internal roads and real-time navigation apps to avoid prolonged delays at border crossings such as Al Nahda.

In Abu Dhabi, the situation was compounded by an emergency ramp closure affecting the Khalifa City exit. AD Mobility issued an advisory urging motorists to plan alternate routes to avoid bottlenecks forming near the closure. While traffic on the main island and E22 remained relatively steady, congestion was visible near Maqta and Mussafah bridges during the morning rush.

As urban mobility pressures continue to rise, such daily congestion highlights the importance of integrated infrastructure planning, especially for professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors considering business setup in dubai, where accessibility, commute times, and transport efficiency directly impact productivity and quality of life.

Authorities across all three emirates reiterated the importance of cautious driving, adherence to traffic advisories, and checking live updates before starting daily commutes.
