Dubai:
Dubai wrapped up 2025 with a broad overhaul of public parking charges across 17 major areas, as Parkin - the emirate’s largest paid parking operator - completed the rollout of new and revised tariffs aimed at easing congestion and improving traffic flow in high-demand zones.
The changes, introduced gradually over the year, included updated hourly rates, new parking categories, revised subscription packages and standardised time limits. According to Parkin, the revisions were designed to balance accessibility with demand, while ensuring more efficient use of public parking spaces across residential, commercial and mixed-use districts.
Under the updated structure, parking fees now range from Dh2 for 30 minutes or one hour in selected zones to a maximum of Dh36 for a full 24-hour stay in premium locations. Monthly subscription packages start from Dh300, while annual passes go up to Dh4,040, depending on the area and parking category.
Free parking continues to be available in several locations on Sundays and official public holidays, along with designated free periods for worshippers during prayer times at mosque-adjacent parking areas.
Among the notable revisions was Al Sufouh 2 (Zone F), where rates were set at Dh2 for 30 minutes, Dh4 per hour and Dh32 for stays of eight hours up to a full day. New parking categories - W and WP - were introduced in areas such as Al Qusais 1, Al Karama, Dubai Maritime City and Al Kifaf. W zones apply a flat Dh4 per hour rate, while WP zones charge Dh4 during off-peak hours and Dh6 during peak times.
In Mirdif, paid parking was extended to zones 251C and 251D from Monday to Saturday, between 8am and 10pm, while remaining free on Sundays and public holidays. A similar pricing structure was rolled out in Al Jaddaf, covering both surface and side parking areas.
Other updates included the introduction of 24-hour paid parking at Gate Avenue–Al Khail, with charges of Dh4 per hour or Dh30 for a full day. New mosque-adjacent MP and M zones were also activated, offering reduced rates outside peak hours and free parking during prayer times.
The revised tariffs now extend across several residential and commercial hubs, including Dubai Outsource City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Sports City, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Production City and Jumeirah Village Triangle.
Urban planners note that parking policy plays a wider role in shaping mobility, commercial activity and operational costs. For entrepreneurs and investors evaluating business setup in Dubai, predictable parking availability and pricing form part of broader considerations around accessibility, logistics and employee convenience in different districts.
