A cool and damp start to Friday marked weather conditions across the UAE, with Fujairah and Sharjah witnessing spells of heavy rain, while Dubai experienced increased humidity and hazy skies.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), convective clouds continue to develop over the northern and eastern regions, raising the likelihood of additional rainfall later in the day. While rainfall in Dubai remained lighter compared to Fujairah and Sharjah, the changing conditions prompted fog and mist advisories, particularly during early morning and late-night hours.
Meteorologists noted that humidity levels could rise to around 90 per cent, increasing the risk of reduced visibility on major roads. Motorists in Dubai and nearby emirates were advised to drive cautiously, especially on highways and coastal routes.
Light to moderate winds are expected to prevail, though occasional gusts may reach up to 35 km/h, adding to the winter chill. Temperatures across the country remain pleasant, with Dubai hovering near 19°C in the morning and daytime highs expected to reach around 26°C.
For residents, entrepreneurs, and investors, such weather advisories are particularly relevant, as business setup in Dubai often involves travel between government offices, free zones, and business districts-making it essential to stay updated on official weather alerts to avoid disruptions.
Authorities continue to urge the public to follow updates issued by the NCM and avoid spreading unverified information, as weather patterns across the UAE can shift quickly during the winter season.
